"A scientist in his laboratory is not a mere technician: he is also a child confronting natural phenomena that impress him as though they were fairy tales."
Hello to all my classmates and teacher, today I will talk about my favourite scientist: Marie Curie.
Marie Curie was a Polish and naturalized French physicist and chemist (was born on November 7, 1867 and died on July 4,1934 at 66 years) who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences: physics (1903) and chemistry (1911). She was also the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris. Her achievements included the development of the radioactivity theory, radioactive isotope isolation techniques, and the discovery of two elements that today are in the periodic table of elements: polonium (Po) and radium (Ra).
I admire Marie Curie because I think that in her time was too difficult to excel as a woman due to existed a very macho society, the women were considered below mens. Nonetheless she never gave up, exprored, discovered, analyzed and became one of the most important scientists to this day. An exemplary model to follow.
I consider this women is important because she pushed many of others womens to do what they proposed to do in their time.
Marie Curie is really en exemplary model to follow.
ResponderBorrarwe have the same Scientist :D
ResponderBorrarI love how she prove that women can do anything that they want to do
ResponderBorrarMarie Curie is an great inspiration for me
ResponderBorrarMarie Curie is very amazing, above all in the period she lived!!
ResponderBorrarShe is an example to follow...
I'm absolutely sure that she encouraged many women to rise their voices and say what they needed to say, because she never gave up, in the science field and in that era women were undervalued
ResponderBorraroh, that's very good
