Today I will talk about the changes that I would like to do in my career (Chemistry).
Well, first I want to change the system of the curriculum, because I think that some courses have to be in the same semester (like Analytical Chemistry and its laboratory) and some courses that haven't been in the same semester (like Organic Chemistry and its laboratory).
I would change the requirements of the course: "instrumental analysis laboratory" because this course has as a requirement "statistics and data analysis". I think that this course is not necessary to take the instrumental analysis laboratory, the only thing that you need to know of "statistic" is how to get the average and standard deviation. I got behind a year in the career for this reason.
Also, I would like to change some "teachers" because some of them don't have vocation to teach to us. In this faculty it's very varied, because I see teachers who loves that the students understand the topic that they're teaching, and other teachers that get angry when you have a doubt.
At the present time, the curriculum of my career and Food Engineering is in constantly change, this year, the teachers of the mathematics area want to change all the maths that are biannual to annual. They say that doesn't matter if a student got behind because "if they got behind, they could left the career". If this happen, the workload in some semesters will be little, but after will be more difficult.
Other thing that I would change: the labs. I understand that when we are in our first years of university we have to use the worst labs. But now, I'm in 4th year and in some courses we still use the same labs! It's illogic.

I think your math teachers are inconsiderate
ResponderBorrarIn Science Faculty we have the course with the lab in the same semester, and all that is part of only one course :(
ResponderBorrarMaybe it sound perfect, but in the reality, it is a lot of work, that is why a lot of students have minimal averages
I think the same as you!! Analytical Chemistry and his laboratory should be in the same semester!! I don´t remember nothing about Analutical Chemistry.

ResponderBorrarI share opinion of my classmate Maria vergara with regard to the low consideration of any teacher of math
ResponderBorrarI think some course requirements are poorly planned.
