This semester I have 7 courses, one of which draws my attention above the others: analytical chemistry. This course is about the
Acid-base balance, redox balance, solubility equilibrium (Kps), complexometry. It is important to know that you must know General Chemistry I and II, because this courses involves almost all the subject that is seen in this course. In the classes the teachers teached, for example: How to identify which cation was the one that the compound had when putting it to the flame.
If the flame is orange: Ca
If the flame is green: Cu
If the flame is purple: K
If the flame is yellow-orange: Na
If the flame is yellowish green: Ba
I like this course because I consider myself a perfectionist and in this course you must be very precise with respect to the quantity of reactives, to form products, adjust the pH of some solution, etc. I can't wait to pass this course for the next level: the laboratory. I imagine that if I like theoric part, the experimental procedure would like me one hundred times more.
